From research at the Hasso Plattner Institute to a governance layer for enterprises

Seerene’s methods originate in research on software analysis and visualization at the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam, including the work on software maps that makes large codebases legible at portfolio level. The company was founded to bring that research into the decisions of large organizations.

Like much deep technology, the hard part took longer than anyone planned. The decisive milestone was the automated, lightweight connection of an entire enterprise’s software production, including very large groups, reliably available since about 2024. Since then the benefit has been strongest where decisions are taken: at the top of the organization.

Research origin is where Seerene comes from. It is not a seal on any particular claim; the trace from every figure to its source is.
